Michelle Viola Straight

With over 30 years of experience in real estate investing, education, and veteran advocacy, Michelle Viola Straight is a respected leader in the housing industry. She has personally bought, sold, and managed over 200 residential units and has dedicated her career to empowering others—primarily veterans and military families—with the knowledge and tools to achieve homeownership.

As the Executive Director of Military Home Loan Benefits at ClearPath Mortgage Solutions, Michelle leads national initiatives to connect veterans and active-duty service members with the VA home loan benefits they’ve earned. She designs and delivers educational programs that simplify complex housing topics, making them accessible and actionable for veterans, their families, and the professionals who serve them.

Michelle is a certified New York State instructor and a trusted trainer on VA home loan benefits at both local and federal levels, including direct work with the Department of Veterans Affairs. She has developed and led training sessions for thousands of real estate agents, lenders, and veteran service organizations nationwide—helping to bridge the gap between policy and practical application.

Her leadership also extends to public service. Michelle has served on numerous advisory boards and policy committees at the local, state, and national levels, where she advocates for veteran-friendly housing legislation and systemic improvements in veteran support services. She is actively involved with the Veterans Miracle Center, a national nonprofit organization committed to connecting service members and their families with essential support and resources.

Michelle’s passion is deeply personal. She is the proud mother of a United States Marine and a United States Air Force member, and the wife of a law enforcement officer. Her life’s work reflects her belief that those who serve deserve not only our gratitude, but clear pathways to opportunity—and a place to call home.
