2021 GCAR Trade Show
What brings REALTORS® more business? NETWORKING! Over 250 members attended the GCAR Trade Show on October 13th. It is the largest networking event GCAR provides for its members to help establish corporate connections that benefit your clients and increase business.
The event kicked off with an engaging Code of Ethics class with group breakouts, Kahoot games, and lively discussion. Members who attended raved about Diane Disbrow’s knowledge and interaction. Elise Van Allen, of Be Cloud Savvy, imparted valuable ways to protect oneself from cybercriminals, while Mark Eagan filled everyone in on the state of the local economy. The event closed with Ann Margaret Carrozza, an on-air Attorney advisor for the Dr. Phil show, who moved members to tears with her inspirational story of how she went from rags to riches. She provided pointers to build wealth stressing that it starts with giving back to the community.
The Albany Capital Center, in downtown Albany, was the venue for this successful trade show where members won top-notch prizes including Ninja kitchen products, Bose speakers, Amazon gift cards, membership dues, and local restaurant gift cards! The day included seminars, delicious food to keep our stamina from Il Faro, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Margarita City, and Mazzone Hospitality, lots of member and vendor interaction, prizes, and auctions, all made possible through our generous sponsors!

The Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC) hosted a VIP lounge with free headshot photos, psychics, caricature artists, manicures, and a magician! The Community Relations committee supported the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society by raising over $1,700 through their silent auction. This group provides emergency services 24 hours a day, arranges placements in area shelters, and helps low-income people with after-hours fuel and heating energy assistance along with necessary case management services.
