CE Credit: 3

Meets DOS requirement for Fair Housing
Prepare to be challenged! Discussions aplenty, this course is meant to make you feel uncomfortable as it challenges you to engage in discourse with fellow REALTORS on touchy subjects and asks you to take a new perspective of Fair Housing.
This course will look at the history of fair housing laws and their enactment, the BIG picture of the various rules, regulations, and requirements of our profession, and how they must be followed when dealing with sellers, buyers, landlords, tenants, etc. The course will also address the history and legacy of segregation, the lack of access to opportunity in housing based on the protected class, unequal treatment in housing based on the protected class, unequal access to amenities and resources based on the protected class, and review of several cases to tie in the overall focus of the class. Taking this course fulfills the Fair Housing requirement.
