Lobby Day
On May 2nd, the New York State Association of REALTORS® hosted its annual lobby day at the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany. Several GCAR Members participated in the event. They met with five local lawmakers, including Senator Neil Breslin, Senator James Tedisco, Senator Jake Ashby, and Representatives Patricia Fahy, Scott Bendett, Angelo Santabarbara, Mary Beth Walsh, Phil Steck, and John McDonald.
During the meetings, GCAR members discussed NYSAR’s legislative priorities for 2023 and provided insights into how these critical issues affect the real estate industry. The main discussion topics included Good Cause Eviction (S.305/A.4454), housing supply and affordability, and the ban on telemarketing (S.412).
