CE Credit: 22.5

Instructor: Ed Smith

This extensive program teaches the foundations needed to provide commercial and investment real estate brokerage services. It also helps agents conform to the NAR Code of Ethics, which prohibits providing specialized services without proper training: “Realtors® shall not undertake to provide specialized professional services concerning a type of property or service that is outside their field of competence…” This program includes topics from all of my courses and new material.

Completing 22.5 hours of instruction (three 7.5-hour courses) is required for certification. Graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion and join over 2,000 other professionals recognized as “Commercial and Investment Real Estate Certified” (CIREC) agents. New York State Continuing Education approved credit for 22.5 hours, including the mandatory 3 hours of Fair Housing, 2.5 hours of Code of Ethics, and 1 hour of Agency training for license renewal. This version also satisfies the NAR requirement for Ethics training. Licensees will also need additional mandated courses in NY for renewal, which are not included in this course, such as Implicit Bias, Cultural Competency, and Legal Matters.
