Conversion in the Global MLS

Just a few short months ago, the Global MLS was on their 20th year of using the Black Knight program Paragon. There are always mixed emotions involved with change, but we adapt and evolve in order to improve.

Thank you to the REALTOR® members who offered their time, energy, and expertise in this huge undertaking. With their input and industry experience, Global MLS is an up-to-date system with a state-of-the-art platform for your business activities.

Here is some commentary from REALTOR® members:

Member reactions to changing MLS systems have run the gamut, of course, with the most active Flexmls users getting right down to it and adapting quickly during the slower production period we call winter. We solicited some input from those who have found FlexMLS to be user-friendly and intuitive. They shared with us so we could share with you  –

  • The menu bar item takes you where you want to go. Paragon was more old school where you had to access several menu bar items at the top to find what you were looking for.
  • The items that I ‘star’ are at my fingertips all the time.
  • The listing entry section is great – all your options are right there in front of you. When it is your own listing and you check on the MLS # dropdown, you have the option to see the listing activity.
  • Many functions can be accessed from the one pull-down menu. In Paragon, most functions were not used as searching was needed to find them.
  • Easy searches, when you are done emailing listings, users can return to the original search without having to reload it.
  • Very Customizable, whether my searches or my menu bar, my view of the MLS shows what I use the most.
  • The contact details form gives us the ability to know when clients read the emails/listings sent all in one place.
  • Spectacular CMA
  • Easy ways to get between screens, and when I go back to my previous screen, it goes back to where I left off. I don’t have to start brand new like Paragon.
  • I have separate hot sheets based on city and they include a thumbnail of the property.
  • The picture is a great enhancement of the Hotsheet.
  • Can have unlimited search bars/tasks open at a time. When a client calls I can assist them immediately and not lose what I was working on.
  • The graph of inventory is a good visual, graphs were not available in Paragon.
  • Fantastic mobile app. It looks and feels just like the desktop, not like the Paragon Connect.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Mapping features are easy to use and powerful, I can do so many more different kinds of searching than I did on Paragon.
  • Lot numbers are easily viewable.
  • Property can be pinned correctly. I don’t have to move the map pin very often in Flexmls.
  • Flood zones show in the map area, offering easy distinction of flood hazards to be disclosed.
