First Time Homebuyers – Friend or Foe?

CE Credit: 3

Instructor: Katheryn DeClerck

According to NAR, almost 30% of buyers in 2023 were first-time homebuyers (down from 34%). Some agents consider 1st-time homebuyers challenging to work with. Other agents focus on this niche and love working with them. What accounts for this, and why can working with them be so rewarding? This course will review the characteristics that typically apply to 1st-time homebuyers, their expectations, and unique needs. We will discuss how to manage the buying process, including understanding the lifecycle of a transaction, necessary paperwork, technology, and financial considerations. These buyers are your future business, so we will also cover ongoing service post-closing to add value.
