Community Relations Silent Auction
This year, the community relations silent auction will benefit Family Promise of the Capital Region (FPCR).
Their mission is to engage the community in support of families facing homelessness, providing shelter, wraparound services, and the guidance they need to build a bright future. They have provided shelter to 80 families since their mission began and helped hundreds of families with services that help prevent homelessness, such as rental assistance, access to health care, medical expenses, dental care, food, clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, educational programs, daycare, transportation, legal fees, case management and other unmet needs. Their program is the only family shelter program that doesn’t participate in a referral system with the county department of social services across the Capital Region. They partner with 25 local faith communities, which provide shelter and support to guest families, and engage over 500 volunteers who participate in carrying out the mission.
